I’m Kristina, the founder and lead designer behind Cat in a Hammock. I started this company because I love the way outdoor spaces shape how we live. After years in corporate life (and one too many cubicles), I decided to build something different—something personal, joyful, and rooted in creative freedom.

Why the Name: Cat in a Hammock?
People often ask me where the name Cat in a Hammock came from—and the story still makes me smile.
Years ago, during an astrology reading, the astrologer looked at me thoughtfully and said,
“You’re like a cat in a hammock. You go out into the world, fully engaged—busy, purposeful, living boldly—and then you come home to rest. Your sanctuary matters deeply to you. It’s where you recharge, surrounded by beauty, comfort, and harmony. Once you’ve rested, you’re ready to head back out and take on the world again.”
I remember thinking, Cat in a Hammock… I like that. I wrote it down and carried it with me for years.
When the time came to name our business—a business dedicated to creating elegant, functional outdoor spaces that feel like true sanctuaries—I knew I already had the perfect name.
Cat in a Hammock isn’t just a name—it’s a way of living. A reminder that your home should be a retreat that supports your life, your energy, and your dreams.
